Snake Control

Snakes are reptiles characterized by their elongated, legless bodies and are found on every continent except Antarctica. They are diverse, with over 4,170 species, ranging in size from tiny thread snakes to large pythons. While most snakes are not venomous, those that are can cause a range of effects, from mild discomfort to severe illness and even death, depending on the species and the amount of venom injected.

How Snakes Affect Humans:

Venomous Bites:
Venomous snakes use their venom to subdue prey and defend themselves. Bites from these snakes can cause a variety of symptoms, including:

Local Effects: Pain, swelling, and tissue damage at the bite site.
Systemic Effects: Nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, muscle weakness or paralysis, bleeding disorders, and in severe cases, kidney failure, respiratory failure, or death.
Specific Venom Actions: Some venoms contain cytotoxins that damage tissues, haemorrhaging that disrupt blood vessels, neurotoxins that affect the nervous system, and myotoxins that affect muscles.

Non-Venomous Bites:
Even bites from non-venomous snakes can cause minor injuries, and some individuals may experience allergic reactions or infections.

Ecological Role:
Snakes play a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance by controlling rodent populations and contributing to nutrient cycling.

How Humans Affect Snakes:

Habitat Loss and Fragmentation: Destruction of natural habitats due to human development reduces snake populations.
Persecution: Many snakes are killed due to fear or misunderstanding, even if they are not venomous.
Climate Change: Changing weather patterns can impact snake habitats and breeding cycles.
Road Mortality: Snakes are often killed while crossing roads.

Control

Professionals use a non-lethal chemical which acts as a repellent when applied on surfaces and the periphery of structures, creating a barrier to entry.
